  • Always use the shopping cart seat belt and check it frequently to be certain it is snug.

  • Be certain your child’s legs are placed through the leg openings on the cart.

  • Stay with your child and do not leave him unattended.

  • Do not let your child ride or stand in the cart basket.

  • Do not put a baby car seat or other car seat in the cart seat or basket.

  • Do not allow your child to ride or climb into the cart from its front or side.

  • Do not allow your child to push a shopping cart if another child is seated in it.

  • Keep your child’s feet away from the cart wheels.

  • Do not use a shopping cart that has inadequate seat belts, broken wheels, is wobbly, or is otherwise unstable.
